A Texas teacher was arrested Sunday and charged with kidnapping a child, a felony.
The Texas Department of Public Safety says 35-year-old Daniel L. Lewis was arrested on a warrant in Williamson County after a search warrant was executed.
The warrant says Lewis was allegedly in Williamson City on Saturday when he abducted a 15-year old girl from a school bus and held her captive until her parents returned.
The boy, who is not named, was taken to a juvenile detention facility.
Lewis was also charged with a misdemeanor count of possession of a weapon by a convicted felon.
The Williamson County Sheriff’s Office says Lewis and another man were arrested Sunday in the same incident.
Lewis is being held in the Williamson County jail.
